Hey guys, i have been researching and trying to restore for the last 3 days with no success. My ideal restore would be all the way down to 1.1.4 but at the moment i cant even downgrade to 2.2.1. I am using an iphone 2g and currently on 3.0 firmware. When i put the device in dfu and try to restore to 2.2.1 i get error 1600. when i try to restore with the device at the white screen ( recovery mode ) i get error 20. i am using itunes 8.1.1 and ive tried all different versions from 7.5 to 9.2 and nothing is working. does anyone have any possible solutions for me? and im not restoring to any custom firmwares but to the regular stock non jailbroken firmwares.

What firmware did the iPhone originally come with?

All of the iPhone 2G's had to originally come on 1.1.5 or below. Also, you have to make sure you are using the right version of iTunes to get rid of the 16xx errors.
