I got this. i didnt see what was the use of it? nice i guess... idk... it seems useless for me. why would i need a app to control a already music app. lol. whatever. ------------------double post merged------------------Umm now whenever i run this app its just a gray screen for a little bit then exits... Err! i want the ipod skin tho how do i get it?
I'm so buying this app. That way I don't have to pull out my iPod when I'm using it in class when I'm really not supposed to I love the old PocketTouch and if this is better than why shouldn't you get it?
Skylar. SKYLAR skylar. Again You've made a wonderful app. I remember it was about a year ago or so. When you started with your Apps. And said something about selling them. Well I personally bought it. And I have to say it's great! I've seen your accomplishments and I just want to tell you hands down. Your app is great. And I know the "many more to come" Will surely be great. I also do thank you for when you started to make this app. I was at work and listening to music. With the flick of a finger everything was silent. I don't use my iPod anymore I just put the songs straight on the computer. But it did help me out a lot. Especially when I didn't want to go into my pocket or when I was driving my car. Great work. Best Regards,
Skylar, first off, let me say i was happy to pay for your app from the app store, and im glad i did, one of my top 5 must have apps, been using it since the early days. It is beautiful! I unfortunately am having an issue i cannot resolve. I am running 3.1.2 jb'd on a 2g 32gb ipod touch. When i tripple tap the top to get the songs, i can select a song, but it will not play that song. it just pauses for 1/2 a sec the current playing song and then continues playing the song, not the new selected song... I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it with no luck... Can you help? thanks!
That issue you are having should only occur when you try to select a song that is not in the current playlist. PocketTouch correctly attempts to instructs media player to play the song. The player then checks to see if the song is in the current playlist. If it is, then the song is played. If it is not, then the media player will simply start the previous item, the last track you were listening to. Currently, this is a limitation by Apple that exists within the media player framework itself. Whether this is intentional, or not, is unknown at this point. Especially when considering that I had to use a few unorthodox methods to get the functionality I desired for the application. My hopes are that Apple comes up with a solution to this with future firmware updates. Previously versions of PocketTouch communicated with the player directly, removing this issue. However, since iPhoneOS 3.0, media interaction goes through a middleman framework. This severely limits the developers' abilities and options.
Skylar, thanks for the reply, i totally follow you. And it does work when i choose a song that is in that play list. Thats a big bummer, in regards to choosing any other song. Lets hope some future firmwares can solve this issue. Curious thought, you got anything that i could add to my jailbroken ipod 2g to get this to work fully? or is there already something in cydia? Thanks again!
