    Hello my dear Posters!
    Today in my Mailbox I encountered my $25 [19€] (Incl Shipping) PhantomSkinz Carbon Back!
    As Promised I will write you a review, but first, let me come to the Rating:

    Application: 4 - Bit tricky, if you do it for the first time.
    Feel/Look: 5 - The carbon feels very nice and is quality work from 3M.
    Service: 5 - Contact-Us-Mails were responded quickly and the shipping included TWO Screenprotectors!
    Shipping: 5 - In one week from USA to Europe.
    ~~~~~~~~2 Weeks Later~~~~~~~~
    Scratch Resistance (Front): 4.9
    Scratch Resistance (Back): 5
    Edge Peeling?: No.
    Grip: 3
    Feel after Weeks of Usage:
    Still has the awesome carbon fibre texture, gets a bit greasy though, I might have to clean it in a few weeks with alcohol
    _________________________________________________________________
    Overall: 4,75 - I would recommend it to everyone!
    So, lets get started.
    First off, here is what you need:
    - Clean and Dry hands! Make sure to wash them at least 2 times.
    - Time!! We don't want to rush.
    - Some high % Alcohol from the Farmacy
    - Toilette Paper
    - A clean surface.
    - Some warm, soapy Water.
    That is what you recieve.
    To the right we have the back skin, in the middle the two screenprotectors and at the right, some PhantomSkinz Advertisements, haha.
    I began with the Carbon. First off, I went away, cleaned the table and washed my hands and my nails. I got my iPod and began to clean it with toilet paper with alcohol. After I dried it with a dry piece of toilette paper, which leaves it in perfect conditions.
    Now I carefully took the Skin off the Paper and really carefully put it on my iPod. I failed the first 3 Attempts, on the 4th, It was perfect.
    Now I pressioned the iPod for 30 Seconds to make the skin stick tight to the iPod. Some edges need to be pushed down with your finger.
    After that I took it and brought it to the bathroom, iPod OFF! and hairdryer ON, on "Medium" or "Low", just to make sure not to damage anything, point to edges of the skin and pressure them with your finger. DON'T do it too long, we don't want to heat up the iPod.
    This is how it should look like:
    After that I went on with the Screenprotector, which uses the standart water+soap way to stick to your device. I don't need to explain that to you
    And this is what it looks like when done:
    (Looks a bit like an iPhone 3GS with Carbon backing, doesn't it?)
    Thats all. Im now letting my iPod rest for 2-4 hours, as stated in the instructions. Later I might post some more pics or change the rating.
    See You!
    Do you have any tips for putting it on? It sounds a bit hard to put on, when you say that you failed the first 3 attempts.
    Do all the edges now stick to the device? because I don't want them to start peeling off after some weeks...
    For my two screen protectors that came with the skin, I'm not really sure if they have got both a matte-finish or if they gave me one matte and one crystal film?
    Atm its holding perfectly tight for me, the edges don't move a milimeter.
    Tips: Well try alignin it perfectly without touching the device, difficult but it is like that, because its a pain in the ass to pull it back off again. The only thing im not so satisfied atm is the screen protector, but i'll see tomorrow how it is going.
    EDIT: Just checked my Screenprotector and the rainbow stuff is goin away... I guess by tomorrow it will be completely gone. If not, I'll just email PHantomSkinz and ask them about it...
    Doesn't look very thin at all compared to the 2G. Probably the case you added
    i wonder how soon the edges will start peeling... no hate, just sayin'...
    even though it takes significantly more work, i prefer to wrap the WHOLE shell for that clean, OEM-look...
    and, i also hate chrome
    How well does this skin protect against scratches to the back? It looks to rough to.
