Alright, this is my first review, so bear with me. Please Register or Log in to view images Guitar Rock Tour Intro: Guitar Rock Tour is one of the greatest AppStore games I've seen so far. It is a great replica of the well known game Guitar Hero, and you use your fingers to strum. Features: 17 great songs with great sound quality each with 3 difficulties of Easy, Medium, and Hard. "Hammer ons and pull offs" by dragging your finger when notes are close, and great 3D animations of people playing like in the real Guitar Hero. 3 different creatable profiles with ability to sign signature. You can also get awards in-game, sort of like Xbox Achievements. Also ability to Quick Play after you beat the songs in tour mode! Last but not least, "Star Power" is enabled! Please Register or Log in to view images Gameplay: When you start up the game, you will be given this loading screen, which takes about 30 seconds to finish. Please Register or Log in to view images Loading... (Above) You will then be taken to the main image (top of page) and then, of course, to song select. Please Register or Log in to view images Song Select (Above) You may choose which mode you would like to play. Tour mode, or quick play. But, you cannot play any songs in Quick Play if you haven't unlocked them in Tour first. Now, when you enter Tour mode, you will be prompted to choose a profile. If you don't have one yet, you get to sign your name! Cool, eh? Please Register or Log in to view images Profile Selection (Above) After you choose your name, you will get a whole bunch of pointless dialogue. Then you will be taken to location selection, in which you choose where you want to play. Please Register or Log in to view images Location Selection (Above) Once you select one, you will be given 2 or 3 songs to choose from. The bad part is, they repeat at least one song each location. Still, it is still fun to play songs over, depending on which song. Please Register or Log in to view images Song Choose in Tour Mode (Above) Now it's time to review actual gameplay! Now, I have to say, the timing/delay on the audio/video can suffer a bit, but it's definitely playable and still very fun. You can do hammer-ons and pull-offs by sliding your finger to the other notes when they are faster and closer (In the tutorial). The bar with the skull on the left controls how good you're doing. The higher it is, the better you're doing. The lower it is, you're not doing to great... The only thing I'm really complaining about is the star power. Why did they have to put the lever so far away? Please Register or Log in to view images Star-Power Activated Notes, Lever On Top Right (Above) So, I have to stop for a second, and lose my note streak, just to reach the lever. Hmm... Couldn't they have just made it accelerometer compatible? By the way, to achieve star power, just hit a sequence of orange notes without missing one and the bar on the right will go up. Note: It has to go up half way! There is some lag from audio and video, but it's really no big deal. I think this game is great, but does have some minor flaws. Price: $5.99 (Was $9.99) Rating: Presentation: 8.5 Graphics: 9.0 Sound: 10.0 Gameplay: 8.5 Lasting Appeal: 8.0 Overall: 8.8 Please consider buying this game, it's very fun!
