Returning my iPod to Apple

    Hey Guys,

    My iPod will not restore whatever i do, i have tried everything i can find!

    How do i go about returning it to Apple?

    Does the Warranty cover software?

    Have you tried putting it into DFU mode and restoring

    I don't think he is saying he has a hardware problem, because he said does the warrenty cover software.

    Anyways, if you tried jailbreaking, apple will screw you in the face and void your warranty.

    Try DFU + Restore
    Plug in iPod
    Hold power + home until the windows chime (should be 10 secs).
    let go of power and keep pressing home until another windows chime (should be around 5 secs).

    Don't return anything to apple if its not restored to origional firmware + a few apps to make it lived in.

    It is not jailbroken.

    I have tried DFU mode and no luck.

    I'm always getting Error 1604, i have tried everything i can find on the internet, and nothing.

    have you tried a different usb port? A reboot of your computer and/or your ipod? Another computer?

    Are you on windows? Have you tried restoring on a mac? Or another computer?

    Un plug ipod.

    power off.

    hold home button whilst plugging in.

    then restore.

    this is known as recovery mode.

    Yes, i have, rebooted my computer(s), i have tried different USB ports.

    I have tried 2 different vista machines, and i have tried 3 other XP machines... 1 XP machine, installed itunes and checked if that worked, but no luck...

    Done That... nothing

    try downloading the firmware off of the internet and restoring with it and see if that works
