Hey guy's I have recently bought a 64GB iPod Touch 4G from Apple Australia for $499. I was considering to buy an iPhone 4G 16GB for $859. I was wondering if I was able to return back the iPod Touch will they give me back a refund of $499 or a store credit will a restock of 10% apply because I just bought it like 2 days ago and I'm changing my mind. any ideas?

I still have the packaging I only used the charger that's it and I haven't used the headphones.

In the U.S., you can practically return anything you want, but in Australia I don't know.

I know Japan doesn't let you return stuff just because you changed your mind.

It depends where you bought it from - DSE in NZ have a 14-day money back guarantee if you're dissatisfied. I'm assuming DSE over the ditch would share that.

Most places will have similar practices, with the exception of headphones and software purchases. and if they don't simply place pressure on them

I got it from Apple store it says
We offer a store credit or exchange (but not a refund) for any unopened goods returned within 14 days of purchase. Goods returned after 14 days will only be accepted at the company's discretion & may incur a 10% restocking fee.

Does that mean I have to pay a 10% restocking fee once I open it :S

No, it means if you take it back before 14 days, you can get store credit or you can exchange it for another product (in your case it'd be the iPhone 4 16gb or whatever you want [obviously paying the difference between the ipod and iphone])

You only have to pay the 10% restocking fee if you return it AFTER 14 days.

    Hope this helps

It looks as though you may be out of luck - however you could always sell it online and save towards an iPhone.

You could try repackaging it perfectly and see if they take it?
