no, i think that because i had never lock on, and i forgot to lock it for an hour, it overheated and there was heat expansion. it was either that or somebody stepped on it during track... it was in my bag on the football field during track and field. i blame it on heat expansion

Heat expansion? Do you know how hot it would need to be to melt chrome?

    Apple will deny service.

that doesn't look like prying. looks warped and i guess heat can do that but it has to be really hot like another poster said.

if it was pried open you'd most likely see scratch marks not only on the case but also on the glass. i can't think of a tool a person can use to pry it open like that without leaving marks.

i have no clue what they'll say, but it's probably going to be denied because they are going to think you tried to open it unless you can prove otherwise. if it did expand from heat your hardware inside would most likely be melted so I guess they can check that, but they'd prolly have to send it in to the factory to do that.

Definitely looks like you tryed to hack it open with a flat screwdriver. Even if you didn't, that's what they'll think. I doubt they'll even take it off your hands, let alone give you a new one.
