Ha, these Macbooks look so cool, but $2200... I'm only excited about the rest of the industry to begin adopting these high density displays, especially in desktop displays.
It will be a while...My Cinema Display generates a ton of heat as-is. Double the pixels in it and we will have a nuclear meltdown.
Yeah. But I'm talking more about other manufacturers implementing these displays into their own desktop displays and laptops. But I'm sure that the first Retina desktop display will be the Cinema display. I'm actually quite surprised they didn't announce it at WWDC.
They didn't announce it because it would had been way too expensive to make. Give it a few years. Besides, retina 27" would be like over 4k res. We don't even have GPUs that support that resolution.
I have to wait another three weeks before mine arrives.... Waited far to long... Ohh well.. And i have used one already at the local apple store. Just the display model for they are out of stock and trust me... It's just amazing, fast and powerful as you would expect for the price.
I JUST got a job, I will be upgrading the RAM, Flash Drive and a few other things added up to 4K. As soon as I get enough I will be buying one.
Eh, It won't matter for me, but I agree I've been dreaming of having a fully spec'd Macbook Pro no matter the cost.
I got my new MacBook 13 today. All ready updated it with an ssd. Next week memory and removing the disc drive and putting in a WD 640 in there
