This is a discussion thread for the "Retina Display MacBook Pro Now Takes 2 - 3 Weeks to Ship" story posted on the front page.
I'll be making daily calls to both apple stores in my vicinity to check if they have any Retina MacBook Pros in stock. If they don't get them within a week, I'll just order online.
I really hope they get them in store soon! I have been calling all day today to the local stores to try to find out when they will be in stock
The Apple store here got TWO in around 10:15 (they opened at 10). They don't even have a display model of either retina version they are that constrained. The apple store guys asked if i'd take 15 minutes to open it in store and play with it so they could see it. The manager even asked the employee to radio him to come see it since he was in the back doing something. Also got the back to school $100 app store gift card too.
