After a search in this forums, most of them says that theres not gonna be any jailbreak for the new firmware of itouch (3.1.3) EVER

Luckily I dodged a bullet on that one

I still have a 3.1.2 FW on my itouch

    Anyway my only problem is:

Is there any alternative way to restore my itouch?

NOTE: I tried storing my ECID to saurik's server but Im afraid there not offering it anymore so is there any alternative way to restore w/o having to "break" the jailbreak

Are you already Jailbroken? Why do you need to restore?

I have read recently that if you are Jailbroken, you can shift-restore to ANY other jailbroken IPSW (ie, one created with redsn0w).

This would mean that if you are on 3.1.2 and your iPod messes up, you could just restore to an ipsw you create with a JB tool. You would obviously have to be able to use your iPod (switch it on at least).

Note: I havent tried this myself, but from reading some tweets/posts by MuscleNerd, it seems possible.

To get back you have to be already jailbroken. Otherwise you might be "lost" until the next major update for the jailbreak.. cause the devs are not wasting time now for this "little" update
