After downloading a package from Cydia, my iPod entered a continuous loop of rebooting itself over and over. So, it's time to restore.

The computer recognizes it, so I can press the restore button and everything. But I also am forced to download the firmware. Is there a way to restore on 4.1 without having to do this? What if I have the firmware on a flash drive? Can I simply restore it from that?

Shift + Click Firmware, try that.

Yes, that would normally work, but I got an error from iTunes.

Wow. It didn't happen this time. Never mind, this thread can be locked.
