iOS 3.1 Restoring Jailbroken iPod touch 3g 8gb 3.1.2

    hey guys,

    Im just wondering if i restore my 3g 8gig will it reduce the amount of space on it as i heard somewhere that if you update before restoring and you are jailbroken you will lose the space that the jailbrake was on. plus i dont know how to get my shsh and ecid as there is no heart or has ever been in my cydia. Please help

    No you won't lose the space, you'll only lose the jailbreak. Why would you want to update anyway if you already have the jailbreak?

    hi guys , i have jailbroken my ipod 3g 32gig (mc008ll 3.1.3) with spirit i need to restore it .. i have read some rumours about the problem restoring the itouch can sum1 gimme a detailed tutorial on how to restore it if i have used a spirit jailbreak ...

    i am using the latest available itunes to sync my ipod !!!

    Actually if you use the update method while you are jailbroken, the cydia apps will be gone but the space they occupied will remain used

    If you want to go to iOS4, just press restore.

    If you want to stay on 3.1.3:
    1. Download iPod Touch 3G 3.1.3 Firmware
    2. Shift+Restore in iTunes to the IPSW file.
    3. Wait for it to restore.
    4. Jailbreak with Spirit
