restoring ipod without itunes

    is there any way to restore my ipod touch WITHOUT itunes?

    No, but you can get it into recovery mode without iTunes. See the sticky.

    ok lets say that i erased everything on my ipod...everythinggg(hypothetically speaking) and i go to settings>erase all settings and content...will that restore my ipod back to new?

    I don't think so.
    Your safest bet is to just use iTunes.

    but the problem is that the pairing records are missing so itunes wont recognize it

    why do you want to restore 0.o im assuming the full delete, could be like a restore...

    rm -rf /


    Edit: This deletes everything on your iPod, by the way. It will still be able to DFU restore.
