My ipod touch is a 2g with 3.1.2 firmware. I was going to restore my ipod, but I'm not sure if this will restore my firmware to 2.2.1? I do not want my 3.1.2 firmware to be downgraded, so I wanted to know if restoring my ipod touch will do that or not. Thanks.

I dont see why it would go back down to 2.2.1, all you got to do is shift+restore with 3.1.2 ipsw file.

If you restore, it will upgrade you to 3.1.3.
