restoring HELP !!!

    okay so like i have the first i touch and it won't recognize on my cpu without it being in restore mode, vista shows "usb device is not recognized" without restore mode, so anyhow i'll begin restoring it in the restore mode and it will restart the ipod and go back to the vista usb message. it worked like 20 minutes before. i need help plz

    reinstall itunes.

    or apple mobile device support.

    then restore.

    Like said above, try reinstalling Apple Mobile Device Support.

    Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features

    Find Apple Mobile Device Support, and reinstall it.
