Yesterday I downloaded this new app from cydia (PrivaCy) with no problems. after an hour or so this white wheel appeared on the springboard and it restarted. It turned off and did the same thing, so i reset it. Then it would boot for about 7 seconds then shut off (it was fully charged). Scared i put it into dfu and tried restoring, unfortunately it said "ipod cannot be restored error (14)".

Its an ipod touch 2g running 3.0 and ive tried restoring to older firmwares with no luck

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Just restore normaly in restore mode.

You dont always have to use DFU.

I couldn't normally restore because i would power off even when connected to my computer. Is there any way to get out of dfu mode.
