    Hey guys,
I'm restoring my laptop back to factory settings due to some problems. When I re-install itunes, how do I get all my applications back? I heard if you press te sync button, applications get deleted off your ipod? How do I back up applications or copy them back onto the computer after I restore?
I already backed up my songs pics etc. So that's not the problem.

    Help>

    Thanks!

You can redownload them from the App Store at no cost.

    Or Just Go to:
My Music > iTunes > Mobile Applications.

Then, once you reinstall iTunes, copy and paste that folder back to where it was, and then double click just one of the .IPA files, and your whole application library should be restored.

backup the applications folder located in the iTunes folder on your computer, as long as you authorize itunes after the restore, the apps will be fine.

In addition to the data, as long as you have a backup of your ipod made AFTER the computer restore, the saved data will be stored on your ipod as well as your computer in the form of an ipod backup

What you can do is to also backup your entire iTunes folder. In doing so, you will also be able to save your current iTunes library in case you want to keep that as well. Once you reinstall iTunes after pc restore, replace the iTunes folder with your backup. just for FYI purposes, the iTunes folder contains your apps, which will be seen again after you replace your iTunes folder. Sounds pretty obvious, i'm just letting you know that.

Oh yeah, I only hinted about the Mobile Applications folder.
But with that, you can backup the .itl file that contains your music.

    Good work.
