I bought my iphone 3g used and it was unlocked when I bought it. It wasnt unlocked with ultrasnow. If i restore my iphone 3g to original settings through itunes, will i harm the device at all? Im using version 3.0.1... Right now the phone is working on rogers but it may be a factory fido phone so If i restore it and lose the unlock, is there a way to unlock again for rogers that I can do?

First off, I wanna let you know not everyone that is online on the forum browses through this section or may have a reply to help you, it takes time to get replys. Would you rather get a useless reply or a good quality one that helps you out?

    Either way,
Here's what you're going to do. Restore to 3.1.2, it's the best and most reliable firmware out right now, not too mention latest. Then you can go and download the latest version of Blackra1n; RC3 and jailbreak/unlock your iPhone 3G and it'll work on any carrier.

Make sure you sync first though, to save all your contacts.

    Hope this helped you out!
