I was wondering how you go about putting a tethered jailbroken ipod touch into dfu mode in order to restore it. I used the too redtool to jailbreak it but as most know with a tethered jailbreak you need to boot from a computer, so how do you restore it? thanks!

go into itunes.... click on your ipod and theres a restore button... no dfu needed for restore unless your ipod is messed up

I tried that and it won't let me because at some point the ipod shuts off, so yea it might be messed up a bit.

EDIT: ok by some fluke the program I use to boot it put it into recovery mode, so I guess the problem is solved, thanks though.

hold down power button and home button for 10 seconds then release the power button but keep holding the home button until itunes say its in recovery mode... then try to restore.
