Ok, so i was going to download the 2.2 fw for my ipod, burt when i clicked update, it started unpacking, and etc. the iPSW, so i was like "Oh no!", so i unplugged my ipod. Later i plugged it in and it says if i want to restore or create a new iPod back-up, i chose restore.

So here i am 2 and a half hours late waiting for it to finish, and its still not done. (No i am not over-exaggerating)

    Is this a problem?

It shouldn't take that long. Obviously a file became corrupted as you took the cable out!

Your best bet is to put your iPod into DFU mode and restore it that way. If you need help in getting your iPod into DFU Mode just PM me
