What would happen if I restored my ipod touch to an iphone firmware? I just want to know.
Bad things will happen
It will implode making a mini Supernova for exactly 12.6345675 seconds, then it will turn into a mini Blackhole that only absorbs nostrill hair... You have been warned!
On-topic, you'd probably get an error and send your iPod into recovery mode.
you can restore the iPod touch firmware to an iPhone on 2.x.x firmwares , i think it might still work, try and create a custom firmware with the iPhone dmg files and get iTunes to accept ii t, it might work , you never know till you try!,
doesnt sound like a GOOD idea
youll quickly get some random error number saying that the firmware isnt for the device blah blah, basically it wont let you and depending on how far into the process it gets you may be stuck at the restore screen having to restore again
hey you'll neva know until u try it!! , if u can create a custom firmware using pwnagetool u'll be set!
Even if you create a custom iPhone Firmware in PwnageTool, it would be an iPhone firmware nonetheless and iTunes would reject it when you try to put it on an iPod. Feel free to try it and tell us how it goes if you want...
