    Hey guys,
I'm trying to restore my non-jailbroken iPhone 3G I got for my birthday on September 1st, because I got more apps off the App Store and after i got Koi Pond all my Apps I got didn't work, like turned on and off, so I decided to restore it after it didn't resolve after multiple restarts. When I connect to iTunes, for the past maybe 4 - 5 iTunes couldn't connect to internet, but my internet connection is fine, so when I try to restore I get an update server error. So I was just wondering if it was possible to safely restore my 16 gb iPhone 3G though iTunes to get my apps to work, or atleast try to get them to work. Thanks in advance guys,

    AnthoNY

You must have the firmware file on your Computer, so if you're on a mac, Option-Click Restore, and click the firmware file you want (default is in /Username/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/)

You still have to have a connection.
