I was just wondering if anyone know where the Update/Restore file is when iTunes downloads it. I know it keeps it somewhere since it does not redownload everytime I restore. BTW, I'm running Vista and iTunes 7.6 if it matters. Any help will be appreciate. I've been search forever trying to figure out what folder it's in.

just do a search for the firmware on your computer...go to search and make sure it searches everywhere and search for the firmware you want.

    iPod touch
    On Mac, the filepath is:
    ~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/

On Windows Vista, the filepath is:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates/

On Windows XP or 2000, the filepath is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

    Thanks,
