    Hi!

My friend has an iPhone 3G on 2.2.1 stuck in recovery mode.

When he clicks shift+restore to 2.2.1, he gets error 1013.

When he jailbroke it, it worked, but he didn't get any service.

Any way to fix either problem? (no service problem or restore problem)

He has AT&T, so he doesn't need to unlock....
He tried the SIM on his friend's iPhone 3G, and it worked...

k, I'll tell him to try that

    ????

He payed $99 to be a developer, but forgot the register his UDID, and locked it. Took it to a tech store, and they fixed it. He was on 2.2.1. He jailbroke 2.2.1 and didn't get any service.....

You realize that it is still possible to register your UDID even after your device is upgraded.

And the "Tech Store" magically fixed his device after not having his UDID registered and obviously having his baseband upgraded? yeah.

they fixed it by downgrading to 2.2.1

He jailbroke, but got no service
