Ok, I have 2 iphones. 1 x 3GS on 3.l.3 which i accidentally updated. All i can do is wait for that one.

But i have a second 3G Iphone, on 3.1.2. I want to restore this one back to 3.1.2 so i can jailbreak and unlock, but i know i cant do the shift-restore manuver. Anyone know how i can get this back to a new 3.1.2? (I repeat, the 3G is NOT on 3.1.3 nor has it ever been)

    Thanks, Ed

What if i download an old version of itunes, get the 3.1.2 firmware, dissconnect my pc from the internet to avoid updates, and then try the shift-restore? Just a thought.

    Pwnage Tool should help out.

Also, iTunes needs to have internet connection or it won't let you update.
