I've been doing some manual installing today and have to restart the SB everytime I copy a new app into Applications folder

I know there are diffirent ways to do it such as reboot the iPot (takes nearly a minute), or just reorder the icons with categories (kind of inconvenience)...

So I think, is that possible to make an app that actually just do the restart SB things?

killBoard was made for this and Sysinfo can do this too.
Or you can execute the following:
    launchctl stop com.apple.SpringBoard

there is also a command line utility called "restart" that is included in some command utilities pack on installer, i always use that.

edit: pack is called "Erica's utilities"
