    Good Evening Everyone.

First let me thank a lot of the veteran posters on here...I have already found a few helpful tips.

    Now to business...

During my time searching on this forum (and others) I have yet to run across a solution to my problem. So I am really hoping I can find somebody smarter than me to help

    Here goes...

    1st - I own a 3rd Gen/8gb/MC model touch

2nd - I had 3.1.3 until I downgraded last week in order to jailbreak. Currently I am sitting at 3.1.2

3rd - I ran RC3 Blackra1n to jailbreak; everything went smooth and I succesfully added the blackra1n app icon to my touch. When I enter the blackra1n icon, I get two downloades to choose from.

    Cydia
    Rock

Problem: Niether Cydia or Rock will download?!?! It does not matter if I do them one at a time or together...I get the same message...

    "Respringing...Please Wait"

This message is in Red...then the touch goes back to the "slide to unlock screen"

    Things I have tried:

    * Jailbreak with a fresh clean factory restored firmware

    * Re-jailbreak (I have done this 3 times)

Hopefully I have given enough information for somebody to guide me in the right direction...so any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are connected to the internet. (I'm not entirely sure, I am still 3.0)

Have you tried a reboot when it said that?

First thanks for the advice. However....

I am connected to the Internet.

I also did try a reboot last night.... Still no luck. Any other tips? At this point I will try anything at least once

I did not realize that worked with a MC model. I will that a try and let you know what happens, thanks.

    Hey Guys,

So I am sitting here waiting on my second restore for the night after trying redsn0w. Still no luck; each time I tried, I got stuck on a black screen and had to restore. I think it is because I have an MC model...but again I am pretty new to this stuff.

"It's supposed to respring after its done downloading..."

    * That makes sense: however, When it says "Respringing...please wait," it pauses for a second or two and then automatically goes back to the "slide to unlock" screen. When I unlock...there is no Cydia app.

It's like it can't finish downloading...

I am sure I am being a pain, but does anybody else have an idea?? Thanks again for everyones help

    Boy do I feel dumb.......

Thanks CB, all i had to do was run a quick searh on spotlight and BAM there it was. Thanks again, simple solutions are always nice.

Not to hijack my own thread, but in an effort to JB and get cydia...I lost the ability to use YouTube. Will not work with the app or sarfari. Any thoughts? Or is there already a thread for this?

You can also try to reset the home screen next time this happens. For your second problem, reboot, it should fix everything.
