    Hi,
i haven´t got an iPod Touch yet, but i´ve already ordered it. For me, the iPod Touch is a great way to have my whole picture libary on the go and i´m able to share and show it to my friends because of its great display.
But i think that the iPod Touch 8GB is very quickly out of space, because every single photo is about 3 MB big.

So it is possible to let iTunes resize them to the resolution of the Touch, so that the size of each photo becomes smaller?

    Greets,

yeah iTunes does this for you. It takes it ages though. I believe it resizes and changes the dpi of the image. I did 2000 images to it and it took 4 hrs took up 1.5gb

ok. that´s great. Do you know which dimensions a normal photo have after resizing?
Are the pictures sharp, for example after zooming in?

True that! the pictures look like crap, and Apple needs to add an option to keep full res. images when it syncs.

They do, but that smells an awful lot like a firmware update feature.

like im sure I have said before, they intentionally leave the current firmware with holes so that users have an incentive to ditch the 3rd parties and jump on the Apple wagon. They will have to feature pack this thing to get the hardcore H@xorz to switch over.

I have to admit, I'm pretty happy with my iPod how it is. I can just transfer my pictures over using WinSCP. The only real thing this is missing is Flash. But you know what, I don't mind missing it. I'm not seeing so much advertising because of that. And that makes me happy.
