I reset my iPod Touch 2G earlier today and 4 hours later it's still not back up and running..
Currently have a white apple logo on screen but occasionally a low battery sign flashes up before going back to the logo - I've plugged it in so I can't see where the problem would be here..
It's a 32GB with about 1.5GB of space left, been running slowly all week as it comes close to full and resets have always taken a while but never usually this long. any ideas?

Four hours is a very long time for a reset. Wait a couple more hours and if it's still not up, try and go into DFU mode.
That's what I'd do. But it may not be the best decision.

Thanks for the advice - it's been almost a day and a half now - still no sign of change! I plan on taking it into an apple store near me this week - I wouldn't mind so much but I hardly have any of the songs on it on my current laptop so that's an annoyance!

Are you jailbroken? If you were you'll need to restore your iPod.

Not jailbroken so I'm okay there - anything else I should know before I go in? I wouldn't say my methods of acquiring songs were exactly legitimate..
