Reset settings and erase data

    you know that option reset settings and data under the settings on your ipod touch? well after i jailbroke it after awhile i reset everything. it said 'are u sure it may take up too an hour.' i was like sure. now since yesterday all it does is shhow the apple, then the spinning circle then itresets itself after every 5 minutes. wtf do i do??? :'(

    try putting it into DFU mode and shift-restoring it back to your firmware, or just click restore if it is up to date. best way to put it into DFU mode from that state is to turn it off and hold the home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, itunes will recognise the device in recovery mode and you can restore it.

    wait what exactly do i do? cuz its still not recognizing the ipod when i hold it for ten seconds and everything. how do i shift restore and wtf is dfu? and firmwire?
