reset cydia and installer

    how can i reset my installer and cydia they always have error codes and i cannot add many sources on eitherof them because they dont work

    1) masnually delete some of your sources if you can and see if it works better (this usually sorts my Cydia problems out),
    2) delete Installer4 period - it's a POS and you really don't need it;
    3) If you can't manually delete your Cydia sources then you can try and reset and reinstall Cydia from MobileTerminal using the commands:

    to clean the sources and update Cydia (n.b.you type alpine when prompted for the password)

    su root
    alpine
    apt-get clean
    apt-get update
    to uninstall and reinstall Cydia
    Code:
    su root
    alpine
    apt-get remove cydia
    apt-get install cydia
    killall Springboard
    
    If you subsequently have problems with Cydia's permission you can use this terminal command to reset the permission correctly:
    Code:
    chmod -R 755 /Applications/Cydia.app
    chmod a+srx
