Devteam choose to use Debian (for ARM ofcorse) as distribution system. Debian is only distribution not OS

    1. Find the img with Debian on it (ask around).
    2. Put it in /var/mobile/Media (untarred)
    3. Boot like you normally would except using a ramdisk you'll have to ask around for instead of the regular one, and set writes to the SSD with openiBoot.

I don't even know if they exist where you can download them anymore.

I got mine from planetbeing's folder on iphone-dev.org, which is currently having problems.

well yeah problems are expected being as the project is not even in an alpha state yet id say, also i heard Ubuntu 9.04's new kernel can boot on ARM processors or has arm support i dunno but anyway yeah thank you I read around but didnt see anyone specifically state how to get it booted. Also i found out if your running a 64 bit distribution of linux your going to run into ALOT of problems even installing openiboot to the ipod
