MobileFinder is great, but some things are dragging it's usefulness down. I was wondering if the developers or anyone would be up to a new and improved Finder. Just some ideas:

    - 5 second pause on bootup resolved (does this only happen on the touch?)
    - Permissions fixed for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 to allow moving and deleting of previously acessible files on 1.1.2 and earlier

Any other ideas or responses is welcome.....

MobileFinder is completely open-source, the project is coupled with MobileStudio on Google Code

the 5-second delay is important, there's a lot of good features being loaded. it is an annoyance because when the app suspends (you press home key or get a phone call) the entire app is shutdown, it doesnt go into a `stand-by` mode like some apps do. so when you relaunch it each time it rebuilds everything.

with some tedious work you could remove the features slowing it, you could change how it suspends

Ah yes, http://code.google.com/p/mobilefinder/ says the developers are planning an appstore release, 3rd party 1.9 version in the works, and basically everything mentioned is being worked on. Thanks for the information Optimo!
