    Please can someone make and share an iphone (2g the original one) custom restore with activate/unlock/jailbreak with cydia/installer? No bootlogo pls.Thanks

    he's right, the 2.0 update for iphone was free, so TECHNICALLY if someone gave it to him, it wouldn't be illegal.

    Distributing modified versions of Apple firmware is against the EULA, so yes it would be illegal. Remember that it says you're not to modify the software... and adding Cydia and Installer to it along with the activate would be definitely violating that.

    But isnt jailbreaking against the EULA? Why then do we talk about it here? If you jailbreak it voids your warranty, so in essence a custom ispw and jailbreaking are the same thing.
    Its not like he's talking about cracked apps (which is illegal)....
    and btw, sharing a dl link to apples website where they host the firmware is NOT illegal. If they have the link up on their website, then how could it possibly be illegal for me to tell someone a link that they could find themselves?
    If "Bob" wanted to download a regular iPod Touch firmware v2.1 directly from Apples servers, and Bob hadnt paid for it yet, and he went ahead and restored with it anyway... that is perfectly legal. He got it from apple, its not like someone else hosted it for him.
