Okay, since some of you restored from a backup of your old, jailbroken iPod/iPhone, I wanted to ask you if you could upload a backup with the correct plists to enable battery percentage on the iPod touch 4G.
    Thanks in advance.

It would not work. Our backups are from different devices since the iPod Touch 4G never was jailbroken. Plus no one would be dumb enough to give away a backup that has personal information on it.

Then what about people sho restored backups from their old jailbroken devices and reported having a battery percentage?

It does work. My backup from my jailbroken 2G enabled the percentage on my battery, it also instantly changed my background to the one I had on winterboard. But like you said, yeah I wouldn't be willing to give away my backup that has personal information. Sorry guys

plus i've already backed up from my new devices so I believe that old backup has been overwritten.

    It didn't work for me.

I tried using a redsnow 0.9.5b5 jailbroken 2G (MB) with battery % enabled iOS 4.0 backup, and also a 4.0.2 backup, and in both cases everything but the battery % was transferred over.

But if you use voice over it tells you the percentage of battery left
It's not the best though cause the satus bar percent if different than when it's charging on lock screen percent

It does work. If it didn't for you, you've done something wrong.

Okay that was your backup, then backed up onto your device.
I said using someone else's backup wouldn't work, not that the process doesn't work.
