I report posts that bump months+ old threads. I honestly don't know if the "offenders" ever get reprimanded, but I think reporting the post and letting a mod deal with it is better than 10 other replies telling the "offender" that bumping is bad.

It revives threads from months ago with old info that may confuse noobs, which leads them making a new thread telling us their problems

for every old thread revived, a noob bricks five ipods

I agree that there are instances in which a bumped thread can actually be beneficial, especially for a nice guide that got overrun by other posts and wasn't Stickied.

EDIT: Even I, after being here for as long as I have sometimes forget to read the post dates. Imagine a brand new user finding all of this "jailbreakme.com" "info" and posting a thread on why it doesn't work.

Extreme example, but you know what I mean
