I don't think you'll see people jogging with a tablet... That reason^^^ is why the iPod touch won't die. Also think...if you were young and wanted a 7" iPad for Christmas...what do you think your parents would get you...the tablet? Or the iPod touch? There's no way the iPod touch will die. This is just a move to target the cheaper-priced competitor tablets.
If it gets smaller I'd hardly call it a tablet anymore. I find it pointless to make something thats only like 2 or 3 inches smaller, hardly any difference.
Try going to an apple store And using an iPad for five minutes...then go and look at an iPod touch or iPhone. There is a significant difference. Even between a 7" iPad an an iPod touch the difference would be very much noticeable.
Yes but there isn't much of a difference between the current iPad and a potential iPad that's 7 inches diagonally. Unless the new one offers something new and unique that the current iPad doesn't, I wouldn't even bother with it.
