This is a discussion thread for the "Report: 'iPad mini' Launches in Second Half of 2012" story posted on the front page.
Hmm, even though the publication's name -- Liberty Times -- seems to be nothing near credible, I'm sure we'll see a 7-8-inch iPad sometime this year because of what John Gruber says.
iPod touch isn't near as large as a 7.85" mini iPad would be. Why do people take the iPod touch as a Mini-iPad alternative, when a mini iPad would boast more power and a MUCH bigger screen? If you haven't used an iPad and then used an iPod touch directly afterward, you will notice how ridiculously small the iPod touch's screen is. This would be noticeable from a 7-8" iPad as well.
i know dude, was just trying to be funny the iPad is too big for me, and the iPod Touch is too small. Maybe this "mini" will be just fine.
Same here. I need an upgrade from my old iPod touch 2G. Really hoping the iPad mini is gonna come out!!! I'd definitely buy it.
