I'd buy it if it had some kind of dedicated graphics. Or some new killer mobile graphics that are really good. I'm not sure how they can update the 13" to a retina without having some kind of dedicated graphics, alongside some discrete graphics, to help power it.

Yeah, dedicated graphics would be important for retina. Wouldn't it feel a bit small on the 13" though?
I wonder if they'll keep the same resolution as the 15" (higher DPI) or the same DPI (lower res). Same DPI makes more sense, but what resolution would it end up with? 2560x1600 ?

    EDIT:
Retina MBA? Probably not. It would probably drain the battery so fast, not to mention there's probably not going to be a dedicated graphics unit inside. That gives a really low probability of a retina MBA.

Since the 2.3 GHz 15" retina pro is $400 more than the 2.3 GHz 15" non retina macbook pro then i'd say the 13" 2.5 GHz (or whatever they decide to make it) retina macbook pro will be $1599 and the 2.9 GHz (or whatever it ends up being) retina macbook pro will probably be $1799.

Retina will drain the battery very fast so the main reason for buying the MBA will be gone. Plus the display of the MBA is good enough for a device aiming at portability (it's not made for photo editing or stuff). The only thing Apple needs to add to the MBA is an IPS screen.
