Has anyone had any success soldering a replacement ipod touch battery without any problems? I purchased a replacement battery at pdaparts.com only to find out that the black plug thingy attached to the battery (there is also a red plug and a white plug thingy) fell off. Will the battery work even without the black plug thingy?

Ya it should still work you just might have to put the black plug back on because it's on there so you won't short out the battery.

You should have been more careful. See if pdaparts will send you a replacement.
