I just sent my ipod in for repair through apple phone support, and I was wondering if they actually fix it or send me a whole new unit entirely. Thanks

    That depends on the damage.

The speaker broke, what would that warrant? I don't really care what they do, just what my iPod back lol. Also, about how long does it take as I just dropped it off at UPS

They would replace t. They would only repair if it was software problem. or somethin very very minor.

every problem leads to a replacement since it would take way longer if they repair and send back to you. Since you just droped it at UPS past the overnight pickup time and there is a weekend coming up, id say that you will get it back on tuesday

Most repairs are costly. A local screen repair place wanted $90, and the apple store wanted $120 for a new one, so I dropped the extra $30 for a new iPod

I thankfully was still in warranty so it was free. I just went to UPS with a number, and they packed it and shipped it free.

Thanks for all the help, I just have one last question. I looked at the tracking number and it says it will arrive at Apple tomorrow (it made next day air), so I was wondering if Apple ships a new one out immediately. And if so, would it be delivered Saturday, or be held until monday. Thanks

what Ipod did you have? If you had a 2g that you bought the extended warranty for would they give you a new/refurbished 2g or a 3g ipod?
