Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes.

I'm needing a replacement battery for my iPod Touch, so the best way to replace it is to send it to Apple right? But since my iPod is jailbroken I would have to Restore it since sending in a jailbroken iPod is kind of awkward. Is there a way to backup my jailbroken apps (Cydia,Terminal,dTunes,mXTunes, etc.)?

couldn't you just SSH into your iPod and copy(backup) everything starting at the root (/) ?

I know I'm new and all, but that should do it i would think.

    Use APTbackup in Cydia.

Use the program called APT Backup in Cydia/Rock. Run it and get the backups after that restore and ship to apple and demand a fix!

    Back-up IPod Touch/IPhone/IPad

I used IPhoneBrowser. just plug in your IPod Touch into your computer, open IPhoneBrowser, copy everything onto a folder on your desktop, restore your IPod Touch, then send it into apple. when you get it back, plug your ipod into your computer, open IPhoneBrowser, delete everything, then copy over everything from the folder into IPhoneBrowser, and it should be back to normal. I have never done this before, but it should work. if this did work, it should work for IPhone and IPad too.
