I have WeatherEye installed instead of Weather. How can I (using SSH):

    1) Rename WeatherEye to Weather. I want to do this so that when a theme as an alternative app, it applies to WeatherEye. If not, should I just rename the alternative icons in a theme to WeatherEye?

    2) Change the icon (which is ugly) to the same as Weather's. I think I just take the icon.png from Weather.app and put it into WeatherEye.app, but just to be sure.

Yeah just change the weather icons name Weather.png > WeatherEye.png in your theme folder.

I've tried renaming Safari to Firefox and it still remains Safari. :/ So no luck there.

The Real Solution To His Problem

I WAS writing all the instrucations on HOW you could do it, but now I think you could just download this zip file, unzip it. And SSH the "Renaming Theme.theme" folder to /var/stash/Themes.XXXXXX/ and enable this theme using WinterBoard and keep it that way for all your themes, and it'll work like a perfect replacement for the Weather app. In case you want to know HOW to do it, just see the theme folder or ask me. And I'm guessing you've already done the icon thing.

If that is an app store app go into its .app folder open the info.plist and change the string for CFBundleDisplayName to whatever you want the app called. Main apps don't have this key in their info.plist so I don't know how you would go about that if Rename/ Rename 2 don't work.
