I ran blackra1n on my ipod touch 2g (3.1.2) to jailbreak it, and it worked just fine for the longest time. Recently though, Cydia will not open. Neither will iFile for some reason. I go into blackra1n to re-install Cydia, but it doesn't help. Is there a way to totally remove Cydia so that I can just try installing it again? I would like a solution where I don't have to restore my ipod, so that I don't have to lose all of my saved data that is part of all my jailbroken files. Also, it takes forever... If there is a way to fix this without reinstalling Cydia, that would be great too.

Well as for SSH, idk what SSH is, is it the same as iphone folders? And yeah I reinstalled with blackra1n, and as for Rock, an update from Rock corrupted all my appstore apps forcing me to wipe the ipod and restore, then downgrade back to 3.1.2 soo, yeah not feeling so good about Rock.

Well, I googled SSH so yeah it is, but if I just delete the .app file assuming I find it, aren't there other files like repos and packages that i would have to delete (and don't want to because of saved data) or that would screw up when they lost Cydia?

lol it did not 'corrupt'. It probally just messed up permissions. easy fix was to set permissions then remove it. As for ssh since you dont know it guessing you wont beable to use it. Did you ever happen to install open ssh or afc2add? ssh is like ifile but on a computer

yeah I don't trust Rock for anything. I just need an effective way to fix or re-install Cydia where I won't know the difference afterwards.
