First off, this has nothing to do with Geohot, or his -excellent- program, Blackra1n. The battery life hit is just too much for me, and I have less use for JB apps than I thought.

What do I need to do to simply remove the jailbreak?

I just started a DFU restore. Better safe than sorry.

If only removing the jailbreak was as easy as adding it.

Both are as easy as one click.

I have 25GB of music, 3GB of apps, and 2GB of videos to resync. So even though it's "one click" initially, getting everything back on is quite a bit longer. :\

It wasn't horrible, but it was noticeable on my 3G. For me, I just don't have a lot of use for the JB apps, so cutting my battery life wasn't worth it.

After playing a 25 song Genius playlist, my battery went down one notch on the indicator. After about 45 mins playing a puzzle game, it went down 1/4. I usually only charge once a week (sometimes even every other week. O_O), so that kind of cut is big for me.

Wow! Once a week?! That's crazy.. you must rarely use your iPod.

Nope. Use it every day. Games, music, videos. I basically always have it within reach. One thing though, is that I don't have wi-fi on very often.

Seriously? Cause it has a 36 hour battery life, and that's just music.. that's not even 2 days. It's hard to believe that you listen to music, watch videos, and play games everyday and it lasts for a week.
