i just spent 9 hours restoring and fixing everything

bosstools wasn't working so i did the following...

    mkdir -p /private/var/saveSpace

    cp -r /Applications /private/var/saveSpace
    mv /Applications /Applications.backup
    ln -s /private/var/saveSpace/Applications /

    cp -r /System/Library/Fonts /private/var/saveSpace/
    mv /System/Library/Fonts /System/Library/Fonts.backup
    ln -s /private/var/saveSpace/Fonts /System/Library/Fonts

the applications part worked fine, but for some reason it created like 100 fonts folders with the files so i deleted what appeared to be purely extraneous(cleared up about 2 gigs of garbage)

now my programs don't work(they immediately crash) and i can't ssh into my ipod because i can't get it to connect to my wifi(that would require using an app)

so how can i remove the symlink through total commander, or another usb method

jesus please don't tell me i have to restore again. i am so tired of this...
