Remove Video Icon

I am really wanting to remove the "video" icon from the 3rd generation, 8 gb, jailbroken ipod touch.

please help (the option to hide video in sbsettings does not exist)

If your talking about the app video which lets you see your videos then just download mobilemusicplayer flip from cydia. The video and the music icon will be turned into an ipod icon with both the music and video in it.

Maxam, you have the wrong app because I installed it, it didn't work, so I read the description and it said the exact opposite of what you said it does. That app is for the iPhone, to split iPod into music and video.

you downloaded the wrong one, theres two different ones, the do the opposite of eachother

I downloaded MobileMusicPlayer Flip Three from Cydia and Rock and they both don't work. I have also tried MMP flip from Cydia and Rock and iTransform to iPod from only Rock. None of those work either.

Easy!

1. Install SBSettings from Cydia
2. Swipe the top bar after reboot
3. Click "More"
4. go to Hide Apps
5. turn "Video" to off
6. respring

Hawtie, do you have any videos? Because it is possible to combine music and video to make the ipod app on iPhone, which is what I want to do.

Found it. Using iFiles or by SSHing, go into /var/mobile/Library/Libhide. Open hidden.plist, go all the way to the bottom of the file, and just above </array> add this line:

<string>com.apple.mobileipod-VideoPlayer</string>

Then respring and it should be gone.
