    I'm using tap2unlock, but I still get the "slide to unlock" text showing up partially when I sync and when I get alerts (see pic below). Anyone know how I can remove this text? I have tried "No Slider Message" from cydia, but that didn't work.

    Any ideas?

    ssh into your ipod go into the theme you are using lockscreen or springboard theme then go to themename/bundlss/com.apple.springboard/en.lroj and edit the file called SpringBoard.strings copy it to your pc and edit with notepad or notepad++, you may have to create the file to do that open up notepad paste this in
    Code:
    "AWAY_LOCK_LABEL" = "EDIT HERE";
    "SLIDE_TO_CANCEL" = "EDIT HERE";
    "POWER_DOWN_LOCK_LABEL" = "EDIT HERE";
    "SYNC_IN_PROGRESS" = "EDIT HERE";

    then save as all file types and save it as SpringBoard.strings and if you want to get rid of only sync just do

    Code:
    "SYNC_IN_PROGRESS" = "";

    That seems like a but of an effort Allh0p3isLost, i'm not the best at modding ipods, but couldn't he just install "No"slide to unlock" text" from cydia to resolve this?

    Thanks for the help... I did that and the problem seems to be gone. I'm not completely sure that this is what fixed it though. The text in that slot was "SYNC_IN_PROGRESS" = "Syncing...Unlock to Cancel" but the message that I was trying to get rid of said "slide to unlock"

    @ThePryor: I had already tried that... didn't work. Tap2Unlock seems to remove the text when the phone is just locked regularly, but it would still pop up for some reason when I was syncing or when I got alerts.

    it should do i'm running 3.1.2 and it works, have you made sure its ssh'd into libary/themes and then is above the theme you are using in winterboard, are you trying to get it to remove text or to edit what it says?
