    Final Version

This was created entirely by me in Java. It has the same functionality of the DFU helper that you may have seen in PwnageTool/blackra1n/redsn0w/Quickpwn/Winpwn, but will not tell the status of the iPod/iPhone/iPad. It basically guides your button presses in real time.

It's attached and is compatible with Windows, OSX, and Linux. This guides you into getting into DFU mode, which is needed for jailbreaking, downgrading, and sometimes restoring.

Instructions. You must have Java installed on your computer to use this!

Command line is the top attachment, the GUI is the 2nd one down.
    To run:
    1.Extract/unzip the zip file
2.Open the HTML file in your browser.
3.THAT'S IT! Its a Java applet and runs INSIDE your web browser. It should run on all platforms.

    Version 3 (Command Line)
    1.Extract/unzip the zip file
2.Double click .bat file (windows only)
3.Non-windows: run .jar w/ a terminal window. (change directory to where you saved it, then type java -jar dfuhelper.jar)
Tested and working on vista home premium/winxp pro.
VERSION 7 (GUI) NOW AVAILABLE (Final Version). It runs in your web browser. Note: The GUI version is the 2nd (bottom) attachment. The GUI version is meant for those who have never put their iDevice into DFU Mode before or are scared of a black window with gray text.

Does it do anything to your iPod? Like put it in DFU mode...

    Because it is a .bat.

did you read? Its a DFU HELPER. Just like in quickpwn/winpwn. Some people wanted a standalone one. The .bat executes my .jar. Thats all the .bat is for.

To run a Java program on Linux contained in a .jar archive, you type:
    PHP:
    java -jar yourfile.jar
But then again this probably won't work on Linux since you've stated you're using QuickPwn.

Uh... yeah it works fine on Linux since all it is doing is something equivalent to:
    PHP:
    time.sleep(10)
    print
"This is some stuff you need to do"
    time.sleep(5)
    print
    "Do this too!"
That's Python and not Java, but you get the point.
