It's for people who have Last.fm accounts. It 'scrobbles' which means send details of the song to be recorded on the last.fm account.

Here's my last.fm account for you to see: http://www.last.fm/user/psp2468

thanks, ive been missing this from the old 2.2.1, but i love the new app, it has the last.fm icon in the status bar, but my question is, is there any way to add the app to the settings.app, cuz then i can hide it with poof and my iPod scrobbles??

i have an ipod touch... does this needs to be on wi-fi to scrobble the songs? or does it saves the "data" of the songs i've play and then when i get into a wi fi network it sends the songs

It saves the data ie it will store the data of your song until you connect to a wifi or 3G network where it will send the data over.
